Yes, __typeof__ is a "works for me" hack. I don't know if its behavior
is exactly the same as decltype and if not, then it will give
incorrect results anyway.

I haven't, only because I've been going on the assumption that this is
intentional and haven't seen the issue raised anywhere else. I'll
bring up the issue to the moderated ML and see what the gurus have to
say.
