There's no gdb simulator for ColdFire (or m68k, fwm).
A few weeks ago I've managed to setup an 5272C3 EVM
board running uClinux for execution of the GCC
testsuite.
I've easily ported rshd and rlogind to uClinux and
configured dejagnu for the remote target.
I've managed to run a few tests and got some of them
to pass. I finally gave up because it was terribly
slow and there were too many spurious problems to
get meaningful results.
I'll get back to this pet project when I have some
more spare time. I also considered porting an
existing ColdFire emulator to the GDB simulator
infrastructure, but it would take a lot more
effort.
