Now, I know that there are some special cases (e.g. there are multiple
vendors for the same open/free OS) but this seems like a red herring
to me. I thought that the baseline files were suppose to match a
shipping system's installed compiler/library when possible. For the
exact reason to detect mismatched configuration options, etc.
