Same here. 

I'm up for you checking it in at your leisure (was well as the dejagnu
hack posted last week for file listings, FWIW.)

I remain committed to the idea the the g++ testcases be the definitive
tests for these (compiler-related) linkage details. Since this particular
case is easy for libstdc++ to do correctly, Mark and David seem into it,
and you've done the work, I'm all for it.
