Peter,
I'm not sure about the older libg++ & gcc V3.0, tho I am interested in
trying it as soon as I get some time. As for the libstdc++ headers, mine are
not only non-functional, they never got configured or installed. It seems
the configure script fails to even try to build the library. When I forced
it, it generated all sorts of errors then bombed out. <sigh>. Why does
everything have to be harder on AIX?

Hi,
a quick question: I saw you posting on libstdc++@gcc.gnu.org about gcc3 and
libstdc++ on AIX, which apperently does not work (I tried compiling it, well
it compiles, but the libstdc++ headers are nonfuctional).
I do not need any fancy c++ stuff, just iostream. Do you know whether there
is a way to fit the old libg++ on top of gcc3?
thanks a lot for your help,
Peter
