Thanks! I got it all to work! I was not aware that the package 2.95.3
alone was sufficient enough. I did used the complete package, but I
deleted the original libstdc++ directory contents in the gcc source
tree and replaced it with the separate libstdc++ package, assuming
this was 'the way' to do it: I did it also with gcc 2.95.2 some time
ago because i had problems running netscape 4.76 and compiling ddd
without that particular libstdc++ 'tweak'. It worked only half. 

Anyway, it works perfectly now. Everything still runs and i finally
compiled mozilla 0.9 and various other apps (including the newest KDE)
without any problems.
