How to install $(prefix)/include files ?

When I looked in $(prefix)/include/g++-v3/ ad I saw that the files there
had an older date
than my newly complete egcs-build.
I deleted that path and tried to repopulate it with

cd /home/bruno/bld-egcs
make install
make install-target-libstdc++
make install-target-libiberty

none of the above commands succeeded..How can I achive a fresh-install of
the headers to my prefix-dir?
