I'd suggest to take a look at the SNiFF+ penguin ide. This is SNiFF+ for C
and C++ only, a complete multiuser/multiproject ide that TakeFive software
offers for free without any restrictions.
Maybe downloaded after filling out a questionaire from
http://www.takefive.com/download/penguin.html, a ~20 MB rpm file.
