Ranjit: I am setting target=i686-pc-mingw32 and host=target=i686-pc-mingw32
in the crossed and crossed-native build scripts, respectively,
instead of the mingw32 (=i386-pc-mingw32) in your original build
scripts.


Oh... But most probably, you didn't update it for the binutils build
scripts...
