In anycase, I have a simple question. I can no longer build gcj after rebuilding the distribution and installing it. However, which happily provides "usr/local/bin/gcc".

Previous to that I could not compile a simple hello world app to an executable because libgcj (.jar) was not built. It bitched about java.lang.Object lacking the zero length attrib.

I'm afraid the build instructions are incorrect or incomplete. Is there no distribution for win2k that is at 3.3.2 I can use? I really don't want to spend my time hassling with making the compiler. It takes a couple of hours to build and find out if anything will work.

I need to get work done.

Any help would be appreciated.
