We're not saying it is impossible to switch libgcj to use Ant.
Of course it is possible.  We're saying it would add one more
hurdle for people trying to build gcj, without any clear
benefit.  Speeding up builds by a significant amount is a clear
benefit, but you have not made the case that it would do so.
(Even so, that may not be enough to switch.  An absolute requirement
would be that Ant be buildable by Gcj, using only Free tools and
libraries.)
