release possibility

I talked a bit today with Jeff Law.  He said there's a possibility
that the gcc team might do a 2.95.3 release.  Then our plan could be
to put the new gcj front end into this release (the 2.95.* releases
are supposed to be minor releases, but our case is exceptional and
allowances could be made).

There are a few problems: it isn't definite, it isn't clear who would
do the release (Jeff isn't doing them any more, apparently), and even
if they started now it would take a couple months to get it out the
door.

I'll let you all know if I hear more.

Meanwhile, the idea of making the current gcj plug into the 2.95.2
release seems good.  It lets us easily transition into the above plan
if 2.95.3 becomes a reality.  Unfortunately, I don't have any time to
work on this.
