Yes.

Not really.  Highest priority are the 1.0 things documented in the
Language Spec, plus whatever 1.1isms (such as Reader and Writer
classes) and 1.2isms make sense.

At some point.  Not in the first release.

I don't know.  We may prefer not to, or consider the patches
