I cannot approve patches for libgcj but note that I committed a similar
fix and wrote a mauve test for this issue (fixed after the patch) a
while ago for GNU Classpath (see bug report). I didn't bother to post it
to gcj patches since the tree was in regression fixes only mode. The
tree is currently open again for all bug fixes.
