Wouldn't this (and the Java announcements in general, given the currently
not too high rate) be better suited for the GCC main page?
It would be nice for our users to have this level of announcements in one
central place.

I'd rephrase this a bit to make clear that Transvirtual did not "invent"
RMI, like "This implementation was donated...".
