I've deleted /tags/gcc-1766 as a misnamed and duplicate tag.  I'll plan to 
delete the other 640 tags later today in the absence of objections.  
(It's actually 640 not 645 because 5 tags appear twice in the list as 
having names matching both "merge" and "branchpoint".)
