Hmm... is anybody actively working on this? It's breaking a lot of my
code. I'd take a stab at fixing this, but not for the next couple of
weeks.

It's a serious regression, thus will be definitely fixed in time for the release. That said, if you find the issue particularly urgent, help is definitely welcome, as usual!
