It's not urgent at all.

For what it's worth, I was hoping to get some traction on converting all ports to the new scheme in the 4.3 cycle, but as I don't have any time to work on it myself, I haven't been advocating it either.

I think that in general GCC could use a less bureaucratic review
process - I think the only reason it used to work okay is that we had
Jeff Law and then Richard Henderson making valiant efforts to review
everything - but I'm not convinced it's the biggest problem we have.
I'd suggest the bug backlog, and the difficulty of implementing new
features without creating more bugs, as bigger problems ... of course,
not getting code reviewed doesn't help with either.
