quick way to transition a cvs checkout to svn?

- Subject: quick way to transition a cvs checkout to svn?
Is there a quick way to turn a CVS checkout to SVN, other than making a
patch and applying to a fresh SVN checkout?
By the way, it could be a good thing to tag the SVN repository revision
corresponding to the transition.
