For the x86 port specifying an -march will allow you to use all the
instructions that that chip is capable of using.
For the Athlon-XP this implies that the following are on by default:
> -mmmx
yes
> -msse
yes
> -m3dnow
yes
However, it will not turn on -fpmath=sse by default.
