I think that you misunderstood Mike: he's giving two alternatives, either of which results in the history of any given file being fully contained in one ChangeLog.

Sounds like you were referring to the comments Zem made about Ian's comments, not mine. Though, you are right, if we went with the second option from my email in combination with subdir changelog files so that Zack could edit just one changelog file, it would result in changes to one file being spread across two changelogs. I don't propose that, Zack would have to argue for that, if he wanted it.


I'm just arguing for the status quo, it is more scalable.
