Well I am interested in the g77 compiler. I will be using fink on MacOS X which utilizes Apple's gcc compilers but packages the g77 from gcc 3.4. As far as I know there isn't an Apple g77 GCC compiler available. Or am I wrong?
That's correct. Apple is not currently supporting g77.
Is there a reason for that ? From what I hear around me it would be handy having *a* Fortran compiler installed by default on MacOS X,
even if the "preferred" compiler is some proprietary one that has to be bought and installed separately.
