- Subject: Technical people needed for Using GCC editing phone conference
Dear People,
I am the Managing Editor of GNU press, the publishing department of
the Free Software Foundation. Chris Devers is helping me do final
English and technical editing on "Using GCC' to prepare it for
publication in paperback form.
I really want to get this book out the door, but there are still just
too many technical points that need clarification: some are due to
excessive abbreviation; some are due to sentences without clear
antecedents; some are run-on sentences where the subject becomes
ambiguous.
We want to arrange a phone conference with two or three technical GCC
people, at least one also being proficient in C++. The time for the
meeting is tentatively set for this coming Monday or Tuesday, at 9:00
or 10:00 am US East Coast time (-4 hours GMT).
Please send email to me (I am not on the list) letting me know if you
are interested in participating. Also, please state which time is
best for you. (Ideally a time you can be at a land-line location to
receive a call; not a cell phone.)
Best Regards,
Lisa M. Goldstein opus@gnu.org
