Don't we have gcc-maintainers@gcc.gnu.org?  Jeff created such a list a
few years ago.

That's an excellent idea!  (Not necessarily weekly, but regularily, with
an agenda and relevant TODOs/PRs; yes, that would be great.)

Yup, we really need to focus on some deliverables, and do so earlier
in the release process.

Compile-time improvement probably is the one "killer criteria" for 3.4,
I'd say.
