Necessary when modifying fixinc/inclhack.def or fixinc/*.tpl to
regenerate fixinc/fixincl.x.

And for Makefile.def/Makefile.tpl

makeinfo version 4.2 (or later)

I have 4.2 on darwin, and it dumps for me with mainline. I don't know of a version that works, but I have a patch to the .texi files to make them compatible with 4.2, that patch is in the 3.3 release.
