Can someone with root please make sure that
/www/gcc/bugzilla/data/mimedump-tmp is cleaned up?
Anything in there can be removed.

Done, though this really was quite little (just 1.5 MB).

Maybe it was purging okay then.
I figured it was my fault we ran out of space, it may really be you guys's fault.
:)

Probably we could keep http-logs for a shorter period (/www/logs/
currently amounts to 6.4 GB), and if we need to, we could also
remove old versions of the GCC manuals from http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs.

(Joseph, couldn't we omit the *.ps versions, as we have *.ps.gz anyways?)

The real killer, though, are the GCC mailing list archives with 6+ GB;
gcc and gcc-patches each amount to 1+ GB, even gcc-cvs is half a Gig!

Wait a second! Chris, I have it: some time ago the system started not to
compress old log files:

-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 985870768 May 27 22:21 gcc-combined_log
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 247949608 May 4 04:02 gcc-combined_log.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 227033651 Apr 27 04:02 gcc-combined_log.2
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 217037482 Apr 20 04:02 gcc-combined_log.3
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 223240718 Apr 13 04:02 gcc-combined_log.4
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 14010019 Apr 5 07:00 gcc-combined_log.13.03.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 11290926 Mar 29 07:00 gcc-combined_log.12.03.bz2
:

Looks like someone switched to a different log rotator or logrotate.conf file or something.

Chris, isn't that the weekend you upgraded all those packages?

I ask because
1. logrotate.conf no longer has compress turned on
2. /var/log/httpd's logs aren't set to be rotated automatically.

Were they ever being rotated using logrotate, or was it done by some internal apache config file setting?
