I don't see much value in this. The only thing one might sometimes do is
to assign something to myself, so that Giovanni knows I'm doing it right
now and not starts it himself. When I'm done, would just de-assign myself.
So probably no increased sophistication necessary here.

Not much. We usually work separately. If we have questions about a
particular PR, we discuss it by email with CC: to the audit trail.
