This was on a Windows XP SP1/cygwin P4 system with these packages:

binutils  2.13.90 20030412
bison	  1.75-1
cygwin    1.3.21-1
dejagnu   1.4.3       (cygwin ver. 20010117-1 with 1.4.3 on top)
gcc       3.4 20030412 (experimental)

configure flags: --host=i686-pc-cygwin
--prefix=/usr/local/gcc-binutils --enable-shared
--enable-threads=posix

Some of these FAILures may very well be due to problems with
binutils... see
