You are probably hitting what i hit.
the URL is gnatsweb.pl
The rest is part of the environment variable QUERY_STRING.
When I asked if one can use RedirectMatch + the query string, I was told
"No the query string is stripped out before any matching takes place. 
Don't try to match it."

That's why i had the RewriteCond + RewriteRule, because mod_rewrite 
lets you access the query_string.
