hi all,

I am not a gcc developer but I am using g++ extensively for coding.
Our code is also compilable on windows using borland c++ compiler (bcc).
We have just one problem, member pointers.

while bcc supports such contructs of assigning member pointer functions
as in the subject, gcc unfortunately doesn't. Of course, the standard doesn't
say this ATM, but it will do in next - amongst other things I'd already like
to see even now.

You actually need to use a boost::functionN<> or Loki's functor<> template
class to use such constructs or even implement the wheel yourself.

However, is there any plan to support such constructs in g++ natively?
If so, or even if so just in 3.3, or why not, please tell me. I am interested
in ;)

Best regards,
Christian Parpart.

p.s.: please also CC to sebmol at surakware dot net thx
