Julia, I may miss your point, but...
o The first link at http://gcc.gnu.org/releases.html does point to
http://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html which has dozens of download sites
for GCC.
o http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.2/, for example, has the following
"To obtain GCC please use our mirror sites, one of the GNU mirror
sites, or our CVS server".
o Our navigation bar on the main page has a section "Download".
If there's indeed a problem, we'll try our best to address it, but
unfortunately from your mail it doesn't occur (to me, at least) would
you'd like to see changed.
