Heh, there's a search engine I should know about... It seems to
have been in the process of being submitted about a year ago:

but then it seems the process halted. An updated patch as
indicated in
<URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2002-02/msg01832.html>
was not received.
