I plan to create the GCC 3.3 branch tonight/tomorrow. There's no
massive significance to that; patches to fix regressions can of course
still go in on the branch, so it's not like you have to try to rush to
beat the clock.
We've fixed quite a few bugs on the mainline, but obviously there are
a lot to go before GCC 3.3 is ready. Still, we may as well allow
people to start pushing things to the new mainline for GCC 3.4. (I'll
be moving in the new C++ parser within days, I expect.)
I'll send another announcement when the branch is actually created,
but this is a heads up. Once you finish reading this message, please
stop checking things in on the mainline; I'd like things to be quiet
while I make the branch.
