As requested, here is a small report of a successful build of GCC 3.0.4 on a
GNU/Linux machine. I didn't see a report for Mandrake, so I thought I'd
send it in.

I'm not sure if config.guess should output that (if not, does that mean an
unsuccesful build? I was able to compile unixODBC with it...) but this is
what I got:

[root@CPE00e07d7ffe83 gcc-3.0.4]# ./config.guess
bash: ./config.guess: Text file busy
[root@CPE00e07d7ffe83 gcc-3.0.4]# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i586-pc-linux-gnu/3.0.4/specs
Configured with: /usr/src/gcc-3.0.4/configure : (reconfigured)
Thread model: single
gcc version 3.0.4
[root@CPE00e07d7ffe83 gcc-3.0.4]# cat /etc/issue
Linux Mandrake release 7.0 (Air)
Kernel 2.2.14-15mdksecure on an i586 / \l
[root@CPE00e07d7ffe83 gcc-3.0.4]# uname -a
Linux 2.2.14-15mdksecure #1 SMP Tue
Jan 4 21:15:44 CET 2000 i586 unknown
[root@CPE00e07d7ffe83 gcc-3.0.4]# rpm -q glibc

HTH, I'm just a GNU/Linux newbie! :)
