Today's mainline bootstrapped on sparcv9, and I reported the regression test
results.
The 3.1 branch still does not bootstrap with
env CC='cc -xarch=v9 -xildoff' ../configure sparcv9-sun-solaris2.8
...
Bootstrap comparison failure!
fold-const.o differs
