Gosh, color me weird then.  I performed these merges by hand for a
long time, on a very regular basis.  I was inches away from a cron
job, but the time it took was so minimal that I never bothered.

:-(  They need to set a goal of once a week, come hell or high water.

I wish I had contributed the merge script... so I could point them at
it.  Maybe Jason has a copy of it.
