I am working on a RH 7.2 machine and could not live with gcc 2.96.XX. I additionally
installed 2.95.3 which seems to work fine, but I am not entirely satisfied with my
installation since I realized that sometimes when using gcc/g++ 2.95.3, headers (and
therefore libs?) from the system compiler get pulled in (i.e.
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/2.96/include/stddef.h). Is this correct or are there
further steps to take in order for the additional version to run correctly?
Thaks for your help,
Philipp
