This is pretty trivial, but might save some people some time.

"3.0*" looks like a footnote reference, and I spent some time hunting
at the bottom of the page for a footnote.  Maybe it would be better
written as "3.0.x", which is how the same thing is written on, e.g.,
http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-3.0/ .
