I'm happy to report that the Alpha/VMS port has been bootstrapped with -O1 and patches will be submitted very soon.

Is the VAX/VMS port still alive and well in gcc3?  I ask because the Alpha/VMS port has more of a Unix flavor now and may require
different documentation.
