getting gcc

I am trying to get the gcc source through the mechanism described on the web
page.

I set my CVSROOT to :pserver:anoncvs@gcc.gnu.org:/cvs/gcc

Then, I type cvs login and enter the password of anoncvs.

After a couple of minutes, I receive cvs [login aborted]: connect to
gcc.gnu.org(209.249.29.67):2401 failed: Connection timed out

I tried this several times and got the same error.

What am I doing wrong?
