Seriously, instead of syncing hordes of old bogus files, we should
be getting rid of them. Apple has cut the head off MPW for instance,
so there's even less reason to keep all those files than there was
before, and I'm planning to whack them. For most of the others,
changes in configury have rendered their contents no-ops.
