The book is
Microprocessors: A Programmer's View, Robert Dewar and Matthew Smosna,
McGraw Hill 1990. Dated, but not so dated (not that much has changed :-)
Unfortunately not available online and out of print. I will check the contract
and see if I can regain posession of the copyright on it, and then make it
available online.
