Do you mean that you don't care for it ?
As a matter of fact, it's a long story, of code written long ago, where
some people were careless in the copyright handling, and so it never got
folded back to the FSF repository [names withheld to protect the guilty].
You may at some point see some cleaned-up, completely rewritten code,
suitable for inclusion in binutils... but it's a long job. Having large
portions of ld internals not documented does not help.
