host != target.  Somewhere we should note that people trying to bring GCC
up on old systems, where support for working around native host compiler
bugs may have been dropped, should look in old-releases for a gcc-1.x or
gcc-2.x release that worked on the given system and is not too buggy to
build current GCC.
