The snapshots are not tested before they are rolled, not even with
hello-world. They are a convenience mechanism, nothing more. When the
web pages and instructions and whatnot say that they aren't tested,
they're serious. :-)

When odd things happen, you might try a clean build rather than a rebuild.
Oddities in the makefiles sometime result in things not being rebuilt like
they should during a second "make".
