Bug during installation!

Sir/Madam,
We r final students doing our graduation from
P.I.C.T., University of Pune, Pune, India. We r using
the gcc source code for our Project.
After Building the code, when we go for final
installation as specified in the files, by using the
command 'make install' it gives an error at the end
saying that it has skipped a directory named
_objdir_\gcc & some files from _objdir_\f77. The same
things also happens when running the command
'make bootstrap'. As after this it must install the
binaries in /usr/local directory by default. But there
not a single binary in this directory.
Plz mail us asap the reason & the steps to b taken to
install it properly.
