I for one am interested in the Chill front-end. I said so several months
and my reasons for keeping it there have not changed. However, my illness
required me to unsubscribe from this list between expressing that interest
and this suggestion of removal.
I do not want to use Chill per se but rather want the front-end as an
example of how a production front-end is integrated into GCC. It also
serves a secondary purpose of demonstrating that flex and bison do not
have to be used to build a front-end.
I am willing to take on the task of making the front end fit with version
3 but as I'm still recovering from my illness I have to pace myself. I
might not have the amendments made in time for the v3 release. However, as
my interest in making these changes is solely to see how a front-end is
integrated into GCC I can't commit to long-term support.
