About when can we expect to get a tentative release schedule (that is,
intended dates for freeze on submission of new features, for feature
patches to have been reviewed, for the branch to be created, for a release
if it's ready, etc.)?

    I plan to
announce a GCC 3.0 schedule shortly; the SC is currently debating one
more requirements issue. The tree will likely get slushy again when
we get close to changing over to the new ABI, hopefully in the next
    couple of weeks.
