If it works, I don't mind ripping out the old code that we don't need
anymore
I don't, however, want us making any major changes to the front-ends
at this point. Or to anything else. :-)
I'd really like to see everyone focus on 3.0.
Unless you are a Java hacker, or a libstdc++-V3 hacker, or an ABI
hacker, that means fixing bugs, fixing performance regressions, etc.
I'm not officially freezing features, simply because we're still
working on the C++ stuff, and I don't see the point. However, as soon
as we switch on V3 and the new ABI, I'm going to ask for a feature
freeze until we branch.
