Mark, Jeff,
Just to keep you updated on the gettext stuff. I'm now in contact with Bruno
Haible, comaintainer of the gettext packages and he's accepted Paul Eggerts
Patches, which are now in the gettext CVS.
Martin v. Loewis Patch to make xgettext look into #define has been also submitted
as an incremental patch and is pending acceptance.
The discussions with Bruno, who is a pleasant guy to deal with BTW, also
make me believe, that I can get all of the changes I needed for
po/Makefile.in.in integrated as well as most of the changes for the gettext
autoconf stuff into the official gettext CVS.
If that gets true, we'll only need to slightly diverge where GCC has special
requirements.
And, last and least, I've received a japanese catalog for gcc which I'll
check in shortly and thus remove en_GB.po from CVS.
Philipp
PS. Jeff, would it be possible to generate the .po files and include them in
the snapshots? This is common GNU custom, as it removes the need for the
gettext tools.
